Tour of Alcatraz (2.4 miles – 10 min. drive)

One visit to this foreboding island and you’ll know why escape was so appealing! Notorious criminals did time here: Al Capone and George “Machine Gun” Kelly, to name a few.

Napa Valley (60 miles – 1.5 hour drive)

Explore the beautiful Napa Valley, a perfect day trip (less than 2 hours away).  Sonoma and Napa counties are best known for their vineyards, thanks to the mild sunny climate and fertile soil.

Pier 39 Fisherman’s Warf (2.7 miles from Moscone Center)

Shops, shops, and a plethora of great seafood restaurants line the Wharf, where you still see vestiges of the old fishing crafts used by the Italian immigrants who brought the Wharf to life after the Gold Rush. Watch out for the Bush Man!!

Yosemite National Park (209 miles – 4 hr. drive)
